Starting in Berlin · Germany-wide next

Play table tennis today. Not someday.

Pongo shows you outdoor tables and people nearby who want to play. Head out spontaneously, join a match or start a round yourself.

Pongo starts in Berlin and grows into more cities from there. Sign up even if you play elsewhere — we'll let you know when your city is next.

How it works

From the sofa to the table, in four steps

  1. 01

    Find a table nearby

The map shows every known outdoor table in your neighbourhood — with distance and notes on its condition.

  2. 02

Join a round or start one

See whether someone wants to play. Or start a round yourself and let others join in.

  3. 03

    Arrange it on the spot

Singles or doubles, tonight or at the weekend. You settle time and table right in the app.

  4. 04

Log the result — if you feel like it

Results are voluntary. They only help sharpen your level so matches fit better.

The tables are already there. All that's missing is the second person.

Concrete tables in parks, schoolyards and squares — outdoors, free, open to everyone.

Map and rounds — the two core pieces

The map collects outdoor tables across Berlin. At any table you can start a round: format, time, how many people can join.

Level

Play at your level. Or just for fun.

If you log results, your level helps you find matches that fit. If you just want to play, that's every bit as welcome.

No club. No league. No fixed schedule.

It suggests players who play roughly like you.
It's optional: without results you carry on playing as normal.
It excludes nobody — every round stays open to everyone.

Made for your neighbourhood

A community you actually meet offline

Pongo only works if people arrange to meet and actually turn up. So we're building the app around reliability and respect, not reach.

Neighbourhood first

Pongo is local by design: the tables in your area, the people in your area. We open district by district in Berlin — and city by city across Germany after that.

Respect at the table

Beginners and experienced players share the same tables. If you arrange a match, you show up — and cancel if you can't make it.

Your data

For the waitlist we only need your email. No sharing with third parties, no newsletter barrage, unsubscribe any time.

Frequently asked questions

When does Pongo launch?

We're in development and will start with a small group of players before Pongo opens to everyone. We'll only name a date once we can keep it — the waitlist hears first.

Where does Pongo launch?

In Berlin, neighbourhood by neighbourhood. From there Pongo keeps growing across Germany.

I don't live in Berlin — is it still worth signing up?

Very much so. Every sign-up from elsewhere shows us where enough interest is building — the waitlist helps decide which city we open next. You'll hear from us automatically once yours is up.

Does Pongo cost anything?

No. Pongo is free. Outdoor tables are public, and access to the app should stay that way too.

Do I need to be good at table tennis?

No. Pongo is explicitly for beginners and experienced players alike. For every round you can say whether you want to play casually or competitively.

What if nobody wants to play right now?

Then you start a round for later — tonight, tomorrow, at the weekend. Others can join in, instead of everyone having to be online at the same moment.

What is a Founding Player?

The first 100 people on the waitlist become Founding Players. They keep a permanent badge in the app showing they were there from the start. It costs nothing, unlocks no features and excludes nobody.

Can I add a table or a round myself?

Yes, that's planned. The map depends on players adding missing tables and leaving notes about their condition.

Without Pongo: hunt for a table, ask around, often head home alone.

With Pongo: a table nearby, an open round, playing tonight.
